A must see location during your visit on the island is Landhuis Chobolobo, this is the distillery where the world famous Blue Curacao liqueur of Senior & co and where our very own Mentholated splash lotion “Glacial” are being produced.

Your experience at the distillery starts with an interactive guided tour and continues with a historic journey about the island, its inhabitants and our 19th Century Mansion. In addition you will also experience the distillation process of the iconic Senior Liqueurs and learn about the exceptional history of our mentholated Splash lotion “Glacial”.

Right after your guided tour, you can taste the different variations of our liqueurs and enjoy a  Senior cocktail of your choice. To become an expert in making signature cocktails with the genuine Senior liqueurs you can also book a fun Cocktail workshop.

Senior Liqueur 

The Senior family invented this kosher liqueur with the ‘laraha’ in 1896 and it is still being locally produced in Curacao. We offer a fine selection of premium, authentic liqueurs which are crafted with the finest ingredients, according to the original Senior recipes.

The genuine Senior liqueurs are certainly an authentic souvenir to bring back home as it is as colorful and rich as the culture of Curacao and it represents years of history.

Glacial 

Our locally created and produced brand “Glacial” stands out based on quality and its distinctive scent. Which is based on its alcohol content, menthol and essential oils.

The brand’s name was initially Alcolado Glacial, but in time it was changed to “Glacial”. The name represents a strong cold, which honors the refreshing sensation you feel when you rub Glacial in your hands.

In recent years we extended the Glacial family with several products that have the same qualities and distinct mentholated scent: soap, hand sanitizer, and a rub.

Glacial has been produced at Landhuis Chobolobo since 1948 and is currently being exported to over 30 countries.

Landhuis Chobolobo is visited by over 250.000 tourists per year and located in the heart of Salinja.
